Price: one publishes it, the other doesn’t
OurDream’s help center lists its Standard plan at $19.99 billed monthly, or $119.88 billed once a year, the equivalent of $9.99 a month. Candy AI shows subscription prices only once you’re signed in, so you can’t compare the two on price without creating an account.
What you can compare is the allowance. Candy includes 100 tokens a month on Premium and 330 on Premium Plus, and values a token at about $0.10. OurDream includes 1,000 DreamCoins a month and publishes what they buy: 200 in-chat images at 5 coins each, or 50 seconds of standard video at 100 coins per 5 seconds, for example.
Free versions: both are short trials
Neither lets you live on a free account. Candy caps free accounts at 5 messages in total, one custom character and one image. OurDream gives a new account 55 DreamCoins, no card required, charges non-subscribers 1 DreamCoin per chat message, and keeps images and video for subscribers. Either way, you can judge the chat for a few dozen messages before paying.
Video and images
The two approach video differently. OurDream lets subscribers generate their own clips at published costs, up to 60 seconds, with an “Ultra” quality option. Candy turns a generated image into a video, and adds two formats OurDream doesn’t document: Live Action, an interactive video mode with a selection of Candy’s own characters, and Shorts, scripted series you watch rather than direct.

Privacy: closer than the marketing suggests
Both companies’ privacy policies allow them to use your conversations to train their AI models; Candy adds that datasets may involve human review of de-identified interactions. Neither offers end-to-end encryption, so the same rule applies to both: keep real personal details out of your chats.
