So what is OurDream, really?

OurDream is an all-in-one AI girlfriend that tries to do everything at once: chat, image generation, video, voice, and memory, under a single cheap subscription. It’s operated by Dream Studio USA (New Mexico) alongside TekTopia Ltd in Cyprus, and launched around late 2024. The pitch is simple and, in testing, largely true: most of what the expensive companions do, for a lot less.

The value play: the whole package for less

This is the reason OurDream exists. Instead of paying for one tool for chat and another for images, you get the lot in one place, and it lands remarkably close to the premium apps. In our testing it was nearly equivalent to Candy AI on the core experience while costing significantly less at every tier. If you want the full companion package without a premium bill, this is the value play of the category.

Video: rare, real, and still rough

OurDream generates short videos of your companion, a feature few rivals offer at all. Credit where it’s due for shipping it. Be realistic, though: renders are slow, taking several minutes, and roughly 37% of them failed on the first attempt in our testing. The 2026 Vivid Engine is the bright spot, keeping faces consistent across large image batches (up to 256 at once), which is genuinely useful.

Memory and customization

Cross-session memory is one of OurDream’s real strengths: context carries from one session to the next in a way most platforms can’t claim. Be aware it’s variable by tier, and on the lower plans it’s less reliable than Candy AI. The builder is deep, covering face, body, hair, clothing, voice, backstory, personality and more, and the anime output is stronger and more consistent than the realistic style. A nice touch: narrative text is colour-coded, separating dialogue, action and thought.

The free tier is actually worth using

Most “free” tiers in this space are teasers. OurDream’s is not. You get around 50 messages a day plus basic image credits, which is enough for a real evaluation before you spend a cent. It’s the honest way to find out whether the style and memory work for you.

The privacy problem, and the DreamCoins tax

Two honest caveats. First, privacy is the real weak spot. Independent sources document chats being collected with no encryption, data policies that stay vague, and information shared with third parties. OurDream is an established product, not a fly-by-night operation, but this is a genuine soft spot, so keep personal details out of your conversations.

Second, the DreamCoins tax. You pay the subscription and still ration coins for images and video. For light and moderate use it’s fine, but if photos are the whole point, the value starts to unravel as you top up.

Voice and the rough edges

The voice feature is a letdown. There are 19 options, but it’s text-to-speech with a nicer skin: no emotional variation, so your companion sounds the same whether she’s excited or sad. It trails the competition here. Add the lack of a native app (web and mobile browser only), slow image renders (30 to 45 seconds on Ultra), and prompts that aren’t always followed, and you have a product that’s excellent value but not the most polished.

The verdict

OurDream is the best-value companion we’ve tested, full stop. The all-in-one package, video included, at a low price is hard to argue with, the free tier is genuinely usable, and the memory and anime are real strengths. If you want most of the premium experience without the premium bill, start here.

Just go in clear-eyed. Privacy is the honest weak point, the voice disappoints, and heavy image use runs into the DreamCoins tax. If pure quality, polish and data handling matter more than price, Candy AI is the benchmark. For value, OurDream leads.
