Candy AI Tokens Explained: What You Get, What They Cost, When They Expire

Subscriptions can be billed monthly, quarterly or yearly. Yearly subscribers don’t get a year’s tokens upfront: they receive their allowance each month on the day they subscribed. Candy’s terms describe the allowance as “disclosed to you during checkout (generally 100 per month)”, so check the checkout screen for your exact figure.
What spends tokens
Candy lists what tokens pay for, but it publishes a per-feature cost for only one of them.

You’ll find per-feature figures elsewhere online, such as a few tokens per image or a rate per minute of video. They don’t agree with each other, and none of them comes from a page Candy publishes, so we don’t repeat them.
What a token is worth
Candy puts its own price on tokens in its referral program: you and the friend you refer each get 200 tokens, which Candy describes as “a $20 value”. That’s about $0.10 a token. At that rate, Premium’s 100 monthly tokens are worth around $10, and Premium Plus’s 330 around $33.
How to buy more
You can top up at any time from candy.ai/tokens once you’re signed in, including before your monthly allowance renews. Candy accepts cards, cryptocurrency, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer for token purchases. Pack sizes and prices are only shown after you log in.
Expiry and refunds: read the terms, not the help center
This is where Candy’s documents disagree, and it matters for your wallet.
- Help center: cancelling “does NOT delete your tokens”; your balance stays on the account and becomes usable again when you resubscribe.
- Terms of Service, section 10.2: once a cancelled subscription’s billing period ends, “any remaining tokens in your account will expire and become unusable”, and tokens from a cancelled subscription “cannot be carried over to a new subscription”.
The terms are the contract you accept at checkout, so plan around them: spend your tokens before a cancelled subscription runs out.
Refunds on tokens are narrow. Under section 10.4.2, you have 24 hours after paying, the tokens must be unused, and only card payments qualify. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the remaining tokens are revoked. EU and UK residents have a 14-day right of withdrawal, with a deduction for what they’ve already used.
So, how far do tokens go?
With Premium, you get 100 tokens, worth about $10 by Candy’s own valuation, on top of unlimited chat. Whether that covers a handful of images or a lot more depends on per-feature costs Candy doesn’t publish, which is why we’re measuring them before we put a number on it. If images and video are the reason you’re on Candy, budget for top-ups; if you mostly chat, the monthly allowance is a bonus.
